Indomitable Aba

Like every other Cameroonian kid, seven-year-old Norbert Cedric Aba had a dream to play for elite European clubs. But never had he imagined he would end up in a different continent altogether and play football in one of the least known leagues in a country far far away.

Aba first arrived in Nepal eight years ago. He recalls feeling alienated initially but with time he was able to grasp his new realities and continue his pursuit of the game. Aba currently plays for Sankata Boys Sports Club as a right-wing midfielder and is an integral part of the team. While his dreams of playing for elite clubs fades with age, the football ground in Kathmandu has become his fertile ground for earning his keeps as a football player.
